SIDXGetCameraName

Syntax

C/C++

int SIDXGetCameraName(void* sidx, int index, wchar_t* camera_id, int length);

Visual Basic

Function SIDXGetCameraName (ByVal sidx As Long, ByVal index As Long, camera_id As Variant) As Long

IGOR Pro

SIDXGetCameraName   sidx, index, camera_id, status

ITT IDL

status = SIDXGetCameraName(sidx, index, camera_id)

Parameters

sidx
The open SIDX handle created by SIDXOpen.
index
The index of the camera of interest. Use SIDXGetCameraCount to get the number of cameras connected to the system. The index range is from 0 to camera count minus 1.
camera_id
A variable to receive the camera id as a string. The returned camera id can be used by the call SIDXCameraOpen.

The return value is non-zero if the function failed, zero if it succeeded.

Discussion

Use the function to query a camera ID. The function should be called after SIDXGetCameraCount. Both you and SIDX will not know how many cameras are available on the running system until SIDXGetCameraCount is called.
